If you placed the package in a USPS drop box, it may not show tracking updates right away. Packages dropped in a box are typically scanned only after they are collected and processed at a USPS facility, which can take some time depending on the pickup schedule and processing times. Once USPS collects and scans the package, the tracking information should begin to update.
If you have dropped off your swabs in a USPS drop box, and it has not yet been scanned by USPS, you will likely see the following tracking status:
Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item or Pre-Shipment, USPS Awaiting Item
This is normal. Please allow some time for USPS to collect and process your shipment. If you have concerns, we recommend contacting USPS for further information.
If you have not yet shipped your swabs, we recommend bringing your package directly to a USPS location and handing it to a staff member rather than placing it in a USPS drop box. This helps ensure it is scanned promptly and avoids uncertainty around pickup or processing times. Delivering it to a USPS counter is typically the fastest option.
